Dr Tan Kok Kuan is a medical practitioner in Singapore with a primary focus on sexual health, men’s health and the management of sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV. His work spans frontline practice, public health involvement and medical education.
 

He previously set up a medical clinic, which was appointed by Singapore’s Ministry of Health as an official anonymous HIV testing site. This appointment supported confidential HIV testing services in Singapore and contributed to broader public health efforts in HIV prevention and early detection.
 

In 2020, Dr Tan stepped away from his previous administrative and leadership responsibilities to establish his current practice, Dr Tan Medical Center. This pivot allowed him to dedicate his focus to direct patient care and research, particularly in the areas of STDs, HIV and men’s health.
 

Dr Tan has contributed to national public health initiatives related to HIV prevention.
