The National Healthcare Group comprises:

  1. National University Hospital (NUH)
  2. Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH)
  3. Alexandra Hospital (AH)
  4. Institute of Mental Health (IMH)
  5. National Skin Centre (NSC)
  6. Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH)

Singhealth Group comprises:

  1. Singapore General Hospital (SGH)
  2. Changi General Hospital (CGH)
  3. Kandang Kerbau Women & Children Hospital (KKWCH)
  4. National Cancer Centre (NCC)
  5. National Heart Centre (NHC)
  6. National Neuroscience Institute (NNI)
  7. National Dental Centre (NDC)
  8. Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC)

The cost of medical treatment varies in different hospitals.

You should choose a hospital that can offer the right treatment for your condition. The first factor you should consider is whether the hospital offers a complete range of services for that particular specialty. This is an important factor. If a hospital cannot offer the whole range of services for a particular discipline, it should not be considered for that discipline, even if the cost of treatment is cheaper.

Secondly, you should check on the hospitals’ specialists. Generally, the more specialists the hospital has, the better it is for the hospital to provide a wide range of treatments. In addition, the experience and seniority of the specialists should be a considering factor.

Both Gleneagles and Mount Elizabeth Hospitals are very popular among foreign patients because of the high standard of medical care and relatively lower cost of treatment as compared to the other top hospitals in Europe and the States. Raffles Hospital is gaining popularity as one of the newer private hospital in Singapore.
